How to apply

1. Find a host researcher

Foreign applicants must find a CAS scientist as his or her host researcher, who would recommend him or her for PIFI application.

2. Fill PIFI Application Form (Distinguished Scientists; Visiting Scientists; Postdoctoral Researchers ; Young Staff)

PIFI grogram SUPPLEMENTAL DOCUMENTS

a)      A recent passport-sized digital photograph (in colour)

b)      Copy of first page of passport with personal information

c)      Photocopies of academic certificates（only for applicants to postdoctoral researchers）

d)      Curriculum vitae

e)      Research proposal (except applicants for distinguished scientist), including: objective; detailed description of project; timetable; the reason for this collaboration

f)       One recommendation letter.

Two recommendation letters are required for applicants postdoctoal researchers. One recommendation must be prepared by your former supervisor

3. Open time

PIFI is open to applications all year round. You can log onto the website to provide your resume information and then follow the progress of your application.

4. Contact SIBET staff

Applications should be reviewed at least 3-6 months after submission. Appraisal results are released in June, September and December of each year.
