On 31st Oct., 2013, Prof. Jürgen Popp, Chair for Physical Chemistry& Director of Institute of Physical Chemistry Friedrich—Schiller University Jena visited SIBET and was met by President Yuguo Tang in the office. During the meeting, Dr. Tang on behalf of SIBET expressed warm welcome for his coming and introduced the history and development of SIBET, saying that SIBET paid great attention to technology development and transfer and it was our sincere hope to promote communications in various fields and make effective achievements on the basis of mutual understanding. Prof. Jürgen Popp, who highly praised the achievements of SIBET, hoped to further the international cooperation between two institutions. After meeting, Dr. Popp gave a presentation titled “Raman spectroscopy-A powerful tool in biophotonics”. About 30 scientists in SIBET attend the lecture. Dr. Daxi Xiong, the Director of Medical Optics Lab hosted the presentation.
