Northwestern University's vice president for research visited SIBET

Prof. Jay Walsh, the vice president for research of Northwestern University, Prof. Rex Chisholm, the vice dean for Scientific Affairs and Graduate Education at the Feinberg School of Medicine, and Prof. Jian Cao, the associate vice president for research of Northwestern University, accompanied by Hao Zhang, from Jiangsu Industrial Technology Research Institute, visited SIBET on January 16, 2017. Guoquan Shi, the associate director of SIBET, along with Wenfei Dong, the head of Strategic Planning Department, and Xiaohe Chen, the Researcher of SIBET, hosted the delegation.

 

Guoquan Shi, the associate director of SIBET, led the guests visit the exhibition hall of SIBET, and introduced the history, research directions, talent troop and transformation model of SIBET. Afterwards, the guests visited medical device engineering platform.

 

After the visit, the two sides had an easy and pleasant meeting. The three guest professors gave us an overview of Northwestern University, and highlighted the teaching, research activities, and funding application status of the medical school. They had invited back to visit, and hoped to cooperate in the future personnel exchange and scientific research.
