A team of guests from Freiburg University, Germany visited Suzhou Institute of Biomedical Engineering and Technology (SIBET) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences recently, to boost future collaboration on biomedical engineering technologies.
The team was led by Prof./Dr. Bernd Rolauffs, director of Research Center for Tissue Replacement, Regeneration & Neogenesis of the Freiburg University Medical Center.
The two sides held in-depth discussion on biomedical materials, medical diagnosis, intellectual property protection, and joint project application, and agrees to enhance exchanges in biomedical materials, medical diagnosis and stem cells.
“Deeper international science and technology cooperation will help form an international research-academic-industry chain,” said WU Chengtie, director of SIBET.
“Carrying out international scientific and technological cooperation is of great significance for SIBET to select and implement its research development orientation.” he said.
The Research Center for Tissue Replacement, Regeneration & Neogenesis focuses on clinically motivated questions and regenerative medicine problems that are relevant to the therapy of musculoskeletal, oral, Maxillofacial and dental tissues.
“Our goal is to improve methods and applications for tussue replacement, regeneration & neogenesis and to enhance our scientific understanding of this field,” said Prof./Dr. Bernd Rolauffs.
