This instrument adopts 532nm long-pulsed green laser which matches well with the peak value of blood absorption. It is used to irradiate the vascular lesions. The oxyhemoglobin in the blood rapidly absorbs the laser energy due to selective light absorption and brings about photocoagulation effects. Thus the blood flow will be choked off and the vascular lesions will be shed. The instrument has some advantages, such as its simple treating method, no side effects, significant efficacy, rapid postoperative recovery, less pain, and overcomes some shortcomings of the traditional treatment. The first prototype has been successfully developed.
