Resume:

Xin Gao is the Board Member of the Medical Instrumentation Branch of the China Instrument and Control Society, Deputy Secretary-General of the Youth Committee of the Chinese Society of Biomedical Engineering, Special Review Expert for Innovative Medical Devices at the Center for Medical Device Evaluation of National Medical Products Administration, and Editorial Board Member of the Journal of Graphics.

He focuses on intelligent imaging technology research, aiming at minimally invasive diagnosis and treatment, and constructs overall solutions in related fields through key technological breakthroughs, covering content from applied basic research to instrument system development.

He has presided over 21 vertical research projects, including 1 National Key R&D Program project, 5 National Natural Science Foundation of China projects, 1 sub-project of the National Major Scientific Research Equipment Development project, 1 Shandong Province Major Science and Technology Innovation Engineering project, 2 Jiangsu Province Key R&D Program projects, 1 Chinese Academy of Sciences Scientific Research Equipment Development project, and 1 Chinese Academy of Sciences International Cooperation project. Awarded the third prize of Jiangsu Province Science and Technology Award (Basic Research) as the first accomplisher.

He has published more than 120 scientific papers, with over 60 SCI-indexed papers as the first author or corresponding author in journals such as EClinicalMedicine and EBioMedicine under the Lancet in the field of general medicine; Gastric Cancer, Lung Cancer, and Journal of Neuro-Oncology in the field of oncology; Eur. Radiol. and J. Magn. Reson. Imaging in the field of radiology; Brain Pathology in the field of pathology; Pattern Recognit., Artif. Intell. Med., Comput. Meth. Programs Biomed., Comput. Med. Imaging Graph., and Int. J. Med. Inform. in the field of biomedical engineering. Holds 21 authorized invention patents and 1 US patent; has drafted 2 group standards.

He has been awarded honors such as "Jiangsu Province Industry Professor for Graduate Supervisors" and "First Prize for Outstanding Supervisors of the School of Science and Education Integration at the University of Science and Technology of China". Supervised students have won honors such as the "National Scholarship for Graduate Students", "Chinese Academy of Sciences President's Award", and "Outstanding Graduate Student Award for Science and Education Integration at the University of Science and Technology of China".



Direction:

(1) Precision medicine based on intelligent imaging computing: Utilizes clinical big data such as imaging, genes, pathology, and biochemistry, and leverages artificial intelligence, data analysis and mining, and information fusion technologies to conduct research on disease risk prediction, intelligent assisted diagnosis, and prognosis prediction, providing personalized solutions for clinical decision-making.

(2) Surgical navigation and robotics: Integrates preoperative and intraoperative medical structural imaging or molecular imaging (including endoscopic images) information, assists spatial positioning technology (including robotics), and carries out preclinical research on minimally invasive diagnosis and treatment of related diseases. 

(3) Low-dose cone-beam CT: Based on flat-panel detectors, conducts research on low-dose cone-beam CT imaging through accurate three-dimensional reconstruction of low-sampling-rate projection data, three-dimensional reconstruction of local projection regions, and multi-energy spectrum information separation.
